As much as I go through mascaras, there is rarely a formula or a brush I haven't seen before. I have used both of these mascaras in recent Makeup Daily posts and realized that they performed very similarly for me and I wanted to share my findings!

Brush Comparison...
Though I would by no means call these brushes "dupes" for one another, they are both rubber brushes with short spikes that allow me to get down to the base of my lashes and really work the product into my lashes. The skinnier brush shape of the of Buxom wand did give me a little more control than the fatter wand of the Maybelline mascara. Even with the different brush shapes, I found that the effect on my lashes was very similar. Buxom Amplified Lash |

Formula...
I find the formula of these mascaras to be a lot alike. Both are on the thinner side and give excellent length to my lashes but not quite enough volume that I typically like. Regardless, the results with both were very pretty and I like both as an everyday, not too much drama mascara. I did not notice any smudging with either mascara, even when worn on my lower lashes. I've enjoy playing with both of these products but they don't exactly give me my "ideal lash" (if such a product even exists). For my taste, I prefer a little more volume to my lashes.
Which would I repurchase...
Maybelline The Rocket. For more than three times the price, they can keep the Buxom mascara.
